Microchip is the perfect compliment to your Intel 8080 microprocessor. Influenced by the mid-’70s computer age, Microchip was designed very rapidly over the course of only a few days. As such, I didn’t reflect too long on individual glyphs. Instead, I just kept tweaking each design until they looked nice to me altogether at a glance. I think the final result is a fun little font that’s both playful and evocative of a bygone era.
